Where do I board and how do I get there?

We will board passengers at Ann Street Pier, behind the Armory Antiques, 365 Thames Street, which is on the right just past 41 Degrees North/Christie’s Landing off of Thames Street. The Harborside Inn (2 big flags on the front) 50 feet from the Ann Street Pier and is next to the 41 North parking lot, across from the Red Parrot.

What time do I board?

A crewmember will be waiting for you on Ann Street Pier from 2:00pm on to check guests in and take luggage. Passengers will board at 4:00pm. If you are driving, you may want to drop off your bags first, and then park the car, or it is about a 7 minute walk. If you are going to arrive later than 4:00pm, please call our office at (401) 849 3033, 9-5pm EST, or our shore manager Kim Paltridge, for after hours, at (401) 835 2409 to notify us. Though we do not set sail until the following morning, but your cocktail cruise on the Rum Runner II departs from the Arabella at 5:30pm.

 

Where do I park my car if I arrive on the day of departure?

There is a lot at The Conference and Visitors Bureau as you drive along America’s Avenue into Newport, it is the 3rd light after the Newport Bridge. It is a covered garage and is $20 per day. Please see enclosed map. This is about 2 Blocks from the Ann Street Pier. You may drop your luggage with us from 2pm until boarding for your convenience.

What transportation do you suggest for getting to Newport from the

Providence/T.F Green Airport or Kingston Amtrak station?

3 options: You need to make a reservation!

Rockstar Limo and their phone number is 888-725-7871, ask for Judy let her know you are with the Arabella.  A Cab:  401-849-1333, which is about $75.00 each way. The Cozy Cab shuttle is also an option, call to make a reservation #800-846-1502, about $20, tell them to let you off at The Harborside Inn.

 

What meals are included?

Breakfast and lunch is served onboard daily as well as afternoon

hors d’oeuvres and a drink special.  (2) Dinners are ashore – you may eat when/where you like at the various ports. One dinner is included in your fare.

 

What time will I return to Newport?

You will disembark in Newport about 10.30am. If you have a flight that day from the Providence airport, we suggest arranging one from 1:00pm on. It is approximately 45 minutes to PVD from Newport and about 1 hour to Logan.

What should I pack?

Arabella dress code is CASUAL at all times: Hat, Sunblock, Sunglasses, Shorts & short-sleeved shirts, lightweight jacket or sweater, walking shoes: for beach and land, Bathing suit.

•  We provide beach towels, blow dryers and snorkel gear.
•  All cabins have normal 110 volt plugs.
•  Soft sided luggage only, please pack very lightly. No safes on board.

 

What if my family needs to get in touch with me in the case of an emergency?

In the case of an emergency, you may give your family members the office number if it is during regular business hours – Monday through Friday, 9-5pm (EST), 800-395-1343. For after hours, please call our shore manager, Kim Paltridge, at 401-835 2409.

 

As we are very close to land, most all cell phones will work on the boat.

We have normal plugs in each cabin so you may bring your cell phone chargers.

  • Harborside Inn, ask for Kim 401-846-6600, We board about 50 feet from the Harborside entrance, right on the harbor and in the center of town, can walk everywhere!
  • The Jailhouse Inn, ask for Sarah 401-847-4638, This is a 15 minute walk from where we board, but in a fun part of Newport and a bit less $ than the Harborside Inn.
  • Yankee Peddler Inn, ask for Laura 401-846-1323,This is also a 15 minute walk to where we board but in the heart of Historic Newport in one of the Oldest Victorian inns on Historic Hill.
